The Script Summary

WEVE2050 is a London-based sustainable brand promoting the circular economy, offering sustainable accessories and products while organizing workshops, pop-up stores, and exhibitions centred around sustainability.

In addition to our own products, our Soho-based store also showcases over 20 other brands that share their commitment to sustainability and originality, providing a platform for other creatives to open sales channels in London. Our in-house products include jewellery, clothing, and branded eco bags and cups, all made sustainably with a zero-waste design.

Customers who shop at our WEVE2050 concept store are primarily females aged 20-35. Designer and artists who sell their works at our store is mainly graduators from UAL.

As the founder, I spends 30% of their time on making in-house products, 30% on sales and adjusting product display, 20% on administration of store operations, 10% on marketing, and 10% on selecting new brands and managing stock.

Neither I nor my co-founder, Zehui Sheng, have any other part-time jobs. Usually, we work in the basement floor at our store, which combines  an office and workshop space located downstairs. Our address is 55A Dean St, in London.

We don’t have any funding or participated any accelerator programmes yet.

We face challenges in increasing the profit margin of sustainable products while maintaining their quality and values, as well as in balancing the transition from pop-ups to a standardised long-term operating model while preserving core values, adapting to market trends, collaborating with original creators, and deepening business operations understanding.

Our goal this year is to formalise all the processes of a long-standing store, including personnel management, procurement, production, and sales.

Our goal for the next five years is to establish WEVE2050 as an iconic sustainable fashion and lifestyle brand, offering a unique range of well-designed in-house products as well as carefully selected products from designers and makers.

To achieve our goal, we need trustworthy and innovative products, effective offline and online store management, a well-executed branding and marketing strategy, sustainability incorporated into every aspect of the business, and building a talented and dedicated team.

Participating in the Accelerator program would provide invaluable knowledge, methodologies, networking opportunities, and potential collaborations to benefit both the individual and WEVE2050, and serve as a valuable backup for future investment opportunities.

Connecting to other participants allows us to stay updated on the latest trends and products, and explore potential collaborations for consignment sales, events, projects, and new product development. This can help us expand our reach and build a stronger network within the industry, ultimately leading to more opportunities for growth and success.

We can provide a space for other participants to conduct a one-day free rental retail trial in central London. We also would like to share our experience of holding successful track record of organizing events, workshops, and exhibitions, gaining insights into customer preferences and refining product offerings, and are experienced in brand collaborations.
